| Description/Comments: Low water users save up to $60 per year. As a result of the project and the lower pumpage that resulted, the utility saved about $50,000 per year in electricity costs and $3,000 per year in chlorine costs. |

Advice |
| What Worked Well: Three things: 1)Installing retrofit devices at the same time as meters (one entry into home is best). 2) Having installation company make all appointments with homeowners. 3) Quadrupling flat rate for homeowners who refuse to allow a meter to be installed (instant compliance). |
| What to Avoid: Suggest clearer instructions for the homeowner showing how to read the meter and how to use the low flow indicator on the face of the meter. |
