Biosolids Reporting Under the National Pollutant Release Inventory

CWWA formed a National Pollutant Release Sub-Committee under the Wastewater and Stormwater Committee. This group has been actively participating in the NPRI Substances Working Group, attempting to have Biosolids recognized as a product, and therefore exempt from the reporting requirements under the NPRI. In 2005 CWWA developed a position paper outlining CWWA's stance on Biosolids as a product.
